Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to read our blog. We are so excited to grow our family through adoption again! Our son, Carter, came to us through adoption in August 2012 and we can't wait for him to have a sibling. Carter will be such an amazing big brother. We love open adoption and have a great relationship with Carter's birth mom as well as her family. We feel extremely blessed to have them in our lives. We truly gained an extended family, as well as a son, when Carter was placed with us.
This is from Carter's birth mom: "When you see the smile on Carter’s face and the love in his eyes, you know that he has two wonderful parents who love him dearly. Paul and Alli were meant to be Carter’s parents. Paul will teach Carter how to ride a bike and Alli will hold him when he is sick. Carter will have the best life because of these two people. Watching Carter grow up in such a loving household gives me joy that cannot be put into words. I truly believe that he has the two best parents in the world. Throughout the adoption process Paul and Alli were two of my biggest supports. When I gave birth to Carter not only did I gain a son but I gained new family members. I can’t explain the bond the four of us share because it is so special that it can’t be put into words. Having an open adoption has been a new experience for me but I love it. I get to watch Carter grow up and that gives me so much joy. The quote “Adoption isn’t about giving a child up. It is about giving a child more. More love. More family. More opportunities. Just more” describes our family perfectly. I was blessed with two of the greatest people to raise Carter and I am thankful every day for them."
