Carter is an energetic almost 2 year old. He has never enjoyed sleeping and likes to be up as much as possible. We think he is afraid of missing out on something exciting while he's asleep. He loves waking up early and running around all day. He loves exploring and learning new things. One of his favorite things to do is go for walks. He loves to look at all the rocks and flowers. But his favorite thing to do on walks is to look in open garages to see if the garage light is on or off. He is obsessed with lights and is always saying, On or Off depending on whether the light is on or off. He loves being outside and getting wet or dirty. His favorite toys are his blocks. He loves stacking and if there aren't blocks around, he will stack whatever he can find: empty boxes, Scentsy bars, cups.
He has no fear and enjoys jumping off everything. He loves trampolines and bounce houses. If there is nothing to jump off, he'll just jump up and down on the floor. He has recently become very interested in cars, trucks and trains and calls all three of them cars. He usually has a car or train in his hand anywhere we go.
Since he was born, we've been reading to him and he loves books! We can sit and read for quite awhile and sometimes he just likes to pull all the books off the bookshelves and "read" by himself. He loves to learn and is always pointing to things and wants to know the color, shape or letter of what he is pointing to. His favorite show is Super Why and he sounds out the letters along with the characters and his favorite part is when they sing the ABC's.
He is a very happy little boy and brings a smile to everyone around him. There is yet to be a time when he is out in public, when someone hasn't stopped to say what an adorable boy he is. His sweet spirit and love of life is very evident to everyone around him.
